Caapi and bobinsana
BANISTERIOPSIS CAAPI • CALLIANDRA ANGUSTIFOLIA
Plants of the Amazon
This botanical preparation brings together two extraordinary plants of the South American rainforest: Caapi and Bobinsana.
Banisteriopsis caapi is a climbing forest vine with a particularly significant place within the ethnobotanical traditions of parts of the Amazon basin. Bobinsana (Calliandra angustifolia) is another Amazonian plant associated with traditional plant knowledge of the region.
Our extract brings these two botanicals together as an ethnobotanical preparation celebrating their botanical identity, rainforest origins and cultural history.
Prepared in small batches in Glastonbury for collection, botanical interest and ethnobotanical study.
