Hawthorn

CRATAEGUS SPP.

he Sacred Tree of the May

Few plants are woven as deeply into the folklore of the British Isles as Hawthorn.

Flowering spectacularly around May, Hawthorn has accumulated centuries of stories surrounding thresholds, the changing seasons and the mysterious landscapes of British and Irish folklore.

Its white blossom is inseparable from the traditional imagery of May-time, while old Hawthorn trees remain features of ancient hedgerows and sacred landscapes across Britain.

Our Hawthorn Botanical Extract is handcrafted in Glastonbury in celebration of this much-loved native tree and its extraordinary cultural heritage.
